Experiential learning is an integral part of learner’s quest for knowledge. It not only facilitates a multi-faceted understanding but stimulates the thinking and creative abilities of the young students.
Catering to the ideals of holistic learning, the school organized seven days excursion to Jodhpur and Jaisalmer for students of Std V to Std X from 17th December 2019 to 23rd December 2019.
The students had an enthralling experience travelling and exploring the mesmerizing beauty of Rajasthan.
Students visited Mehergarh fort with intricate carvings and expansive courtyards. Umed Bhavan Museum brought students close to Rajasthani culture and provided them the glimpse of Royal life of Mewar. The visit to Bisnoi village provided insight to Rajasthani village and handicraft and at the same time acquainted them about history behind Chipko Movement.
Students were overwhelmed seeing Jaisalmer fort's massive yellow sandstone walls with tawny lion colour during the day, fading to honey-gold as the sun sets, thereby camouflaging the fort in the yellow desert. Patwaon ki Haveli and Natwar ki Haveli were feast to the eyes.
Students enjoyed Thar Desert on Jeep and Camel Safari and were delighted to see the Sun set at Sand Dunes of Jaisalmer .
The wonderful places in Jodhpur and Jaisalmer reflected glorious history, geographical features and the rich heritage and culture of our country.
