(Social Empowerment through Work Education and Action)
SEWA (Social Empowerment through Work Education and Action) an endeavor by CBSE is a program that aims to focus on the mental, emotional and social health of a student. The main objective of SEWA projects is to direct children’s mind in constructive activities with positive outcomes through the facilitation of creative and critical thinking. This would help them to develop self -confidence and self-esteem. Another objective of this programme is to underline the significance of the interdependence of all human beings and our dependence on the environment in this shrinking global village. Students must acknowledge that they have a responsibility towards the less privileged, the disadvantaged, the CWSN (Divyang), the society, and the environment. The principle of giving to society has to become second nature to them.

EYE-CHECK UP CAMP AT JAMBUSAR
A Mega Eye Check Up Camp was sponsored by the SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan at Jambusar Navyug Government School. The Eye Camp was organised in association with Shankara Eye Hospital, Anand. The students helped the Doctors and the other Hospital Authorities in the Eye Check up of the villagers. The Students of SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan held Exhibition Cum Sale of their Handicrafts and raised funds for the camp..
CLOTH DISTRIBUTION IN SLUMS
The students of SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan feel for the destitute and less previledged masses as for them nobody should suffer the lack of basic necessities like clothes.
With this objective, the students of class IX distributed Clothes and Woollens to the people living in Dubai - Tekri.
VISIT TO ANGANWADI
In serving the best interest of the 'Community', the students of SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan serves the best interest of the 'Humanity'. The students brought smiles on the innocent faces of the underprivileged kids of Anganwadi No. 4, Zadeshwar by distributing Toys and Woollen clothes to them.
DISTRIBUTION OF TOYS AND WOOLLEN CLOTHES IN CIVIL HOSPITAL
Students of SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan strive to bring smiles on the faces of the under privileged section of the society. With the same mission, the students of class IX distributed Toys and Woollen clothes to the tiny toddlers in the Pediatric Ward of Civil Hospital. The Parents of the Beneficiaries were emotionally touched by this gesture of the students and in turn blessed them.
KARATE TRAINING AT KANYASHALA
Students of SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan organized Self Defense Training at Kanyashala. This training aimed at empowering girls with Self-Defence techniques. The objectives of training session was to strengthen the self-confidence and physical fitness of girl students. They were also trained how to tackle threat, overcome the fear factor and protect oneself with available tools
SEWA AT GURUDWARA
To promote the spirit of dignity of labour, the students of SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan zealously participated in the community service on the eve of the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti. Enthusiastic students had a hands-on experience of doing various Community SEWA activities at Gurudwara which ranged from helping the kitchen staff in preparing chapatis, serving food to devotees, washing the utensils, arranging shoes on shelves etc. The experience taught the students that “We have two hands - One to help ourselves and the second to help others. Without a sense of caring there can be no sense of community.”
NAVRATRI CELEBRATION AT OLD-AGE HOME
Students of SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan brought happiness in the lives of 80 elderly people of Old Age Home by celebrating Navratri with them. The students welcomed the inmates of the Old Age Home with flowers and fruits. The elderly danced enthusiastically on the tune of Garba with the students and had a joyful time.
HUMAN CHAIN ON 'SAY NO TO SINGLE USE PLASTIC'
Students of SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan made Human Chain by joining hands and holding Posters and Slogans to promote 'Say No to Single use Plastic' on 2nd October, the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The Human Chain extended from Tulsidham to Jyotinagar. This was a step to spread awareness among the people to achieve the vision of 'Plastic free India'.
HANDMADE PAPER BAGS DISTRIBUTION AT THE RAILWAY STATION
To discourage the use of plastic bags , the students of SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan replaced the Polythene Bags of the passengers at railway station with the paper bags prepared by the students. This campaign was held on 2nd October 2019 to pay a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th Birthday.
GLASS PAINTING AT THE RAILWAY STATION
On 2nd October 2019, during the auspicious occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, the students of SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan, painted the glass panels with Glass Paintings on the Entry and Exit gates of the Railway Station. This was to sensitize people about the consequences of using Plastic and to motivate them to keep their surroundings clean.
MENTOR-MENTEE PROGRAMME
SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan started a permanent project, 'Mentor-Mentee' programme with the objective of developing life skills. The mentor is assigned to act as an advisor, counsellor and guide to a junior. The mentor acts as a role model for the mentee. The advice given by the mentor helps the mentee to develop new skills and a larger network. For a mentor it serves as an excellent learning experience.
The responsibility undertaken by a mentor to guide and motivate his mentee in his career, helps the mentor to develop communication and leadership skills.
All the students of classes IX-X-XI-XII were made mentors and after the completion of each month they submitted their reports to their guide teachers.
'EACH ONE TEACH ONE' PROJECT
To spread the light of education the students of Shrimati Maniba Chunilal Patel Sanskar Vidya Bhavan started a program called ‘Each One Teach One’. In this project the students are doing the noble work of rendering education to the people who belong to the weaker sections of the society and due to socio-economic reasons are deprived of basic education. The students teach their house maids, security guards, cook’s and other domestic helper’s children through Innovative ideas.
NOTE-BOOK DISTRIBUTION PROJECT
SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan strives incessantly to bring qualitative changes in our society, a step in the same direction was the community project of distribution of Notebooks to the students of Prathmikshala Bharuch. The gracious presence of Shashan Adhikari Shri Nishant Dave & Administrator of SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan Smt. Nikki H Mehta, served as the mode of inspiration. Students actively participated while collecting and distributing the notebooks.
SEMINAR ON ORGANIC FARMING
In an effort to equip the farmers with latest technologies in Organic Farming and make them aware of various agricultural reforms and development schemes of the Government, students of SMCP Sanskar Vidya Bhavan conducted a resourceful Seminar on Agricultural Methodologies for elevation of Farmers at Mangaleshwar village. The motive of the Seminar was to sensitise farmers towards the need of Organic Farming and at the same time acquaint the farmers with all farmers related Government Schemes. Through audio visual Presentations the farmers were taught the methods to register themselves under various schemes. In the interactive session, the farmers enthusiastically discussed about all the schemes with each other. The Seminar was very informative and was well received by each and every farmer present in the Seminar.
"GO GREEN PENCIL" DISTRIBUTION BY SMCP SANSKAR VIDYA BHAVAN
Our school is very active in promoting Environment Project among the youth. It aims to inspire, motivate and equip people for a green journey for sustainable development, environmental protection and social prosperity. 'Go green pencil' is eco-friendly plantable seed pencils, the pencil stub has seeds which once planted sprouts into saplings. The students of class IX distributed Go Green pencils to all the Special Children at Kalrav.
EXHIBITION CUM SALE OF HANDICRAFT ARTICLES
"I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; but together we can do great things.” Mother Teresa. In our pursuit to ingrain the altruistic spirit in the soul of our students, the students of our school had organised Exhibition Cum Sale for bringing bundles of happiness in lives of the underprivileged people. They generated fund by selling handmade Rakhis, Envelopes , Pooja thalis and Bouquets made by the students of Std I to Std X. This fund was further used for various social welfare programmes.
REDUCE - REUSE - RECYCLE
The Reduce, Reuse and Recycle project is the permanent project of our school. The Compost pit in the school is used to dispose waste mainly the dry leaves from the campus, the peels from the kitchen and other biodegradable waste to be converted into compost. The compost thus prepared is to be used as manure in the maintenance of the school gardens. Students of classes IX-X-XI-XII do the needful to carry on this work successfully.
HEALTH AND HYGIENE SEMINAR AT KANYASHALA
To raise awareness about the Health and Hygiene among students of Kanyashala, a resourceful Seminar on Health and Hygiene was conduct by the students. Importance of Health and Wellness, Sanitation, Balanced Diet, Medicinal plants were explained through PowerPoint presentations, Interactive Sessions and Quizzes. Club members also demonstrated the proper way of washing the hands, brushing teeth, etc. The Seminar motivated the students to take up a healthy lifestyle as it is rightly said, 'Prevention is better than cure'.
TREE PLANTATION DRIVE BY SMCP SANSKAR VIDYA BHAVAN
Students took a step towards beautifying our planet and purifying the environment and carried out a 'Tree Plantation Drive' at Zadeshwar. This was an endeavour to promote the plantation of more trees and spread awareness among the students to save the environment and join hands to it.
DRAWING ON POSTCARD
"Drawing on Postcard" was an initiative to get the young minds back to using the good old postcard and use Post card as a medium to spread awareness on social issues. 200 students of Std IX and X participated in this campaign.
PAINT FOR CHANGE CAMPAIGN
Continuing with its effort to create sense of social commitment the school had organized mega wall painting campaign at Bharuch railway station with the support of western railway Vadodara division and HSE foundation.
Ninety one students enthusiastically participated in the campaign at platform no. 2 and 5. Bharuch railway station where they addressed various concern such as railway safety, cleanliness at the railway station, water conservation etc.
The campaign started with prayer and oath taking ceremony which was followed by media interview. Mr. Yogesh kumar, ADM south of western railway formlly declared the campaign open.
The campaign proved to be the largest ever campaign at the Bharuch railway station by the school students.
AWARENESS DRIVE-ROAD SHOW
A social awareness Road Show was organised by the students of Shrimati Maniba Chunilal Patel Sanskar Vidya Bhavan. The campaign was held to create awareness about Environmental Conservation, need to Avoid Wastage of Food, Cleanliness and need of Self Defense among people .Over 3oo students took part in the rally with the teachers through the main avenues of Bharuch town covering Zadeshwar Road, Makhtampur Road, Kasak, Station Road and Civil hospital Road. Students raised slogans, held placards with the messages, organised talk show, staged street play and demonstrated self defense feats as they moved around in the city with motivational and theme based tableaux.
The procession culminated at the Collector’s Office with handing over the resolution to Mr. Sandeep Sagale (Collector – Bharuch)
